Geometry

My class has been about geometry. I made a DLO (or a digital learning object) about geometry. It’s filled with the things I learnt from the activities we have been doing around geometry. I hope you enjoy.

Juicy

Amelia and I made an invention that would keep a juicy hard. We had so much hope in it but we shouldn’t have. Can you guess why? You probably did because it failed instead of a nice ice block we got a juice. So our invention did not work but it was fun making it.

Seasons

I learnt about the weather. I learnt that the hail can be really big and lightning forms when it's humid or cloudy. I made an animation about the weather its a bit strange but around the end there is a large bubble of information. I hope you enjoy my animation.

Right Thing

My class has been learning to be in the right place at the right time online. I made a slide about what I can be on at school time.

Time

We have been learning about time. Did you know that the big hand on the clock is the minute hand and the small hand is the hour hand? In an hour there is 60 minutes and in a minute there is 60 seconds.

Project Energize

My class, Te Maunga went to Project Energize. The first week we learnt the 4 food groups which are meat/meat alternatives, grains, dairy and fruit and veg. The next week we learnt what takeaways are good and bad for example it would be much more healthy to get sushi instead of butter chicken. The next week we learnt about fizzy and energy drinks. Water and milk are the best options and you should only have Gatorade if you have done sport and deserve it. The very last week we made hummus. Thea and I finished our work so we were the ones who actually made it. We opened the chickpeas put that in, some salt, pepper, peanut butter and squeezed lemon. After that we had it with crackers for a nice snack.

Cross country

Te Maunga did cross country practice to train for cross country. I don’t practice because I have a sore foot. Instead of training I would stand with a marker and put a dot on people's hand every time they came around the school and we do that to know when they have done five laps and not cheat and do less. When we put the fifth dot we would write the time then they would mark it in their book to record their time.
